Features

• MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC
• 108 MP Primary Camera
• AMOLED Display

Cons

• OS with lots of bloatware
• Build quality

Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is one of the best 5G smartphones under Rs 20000. The device is available for sale starting at Rs 17,999. The Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is competing against smartphones from Realme, Redmi, and Xiaomi. Let's have a detailed review of this smartphone.

Design

We have reviewed the Force Black variant of the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device has a plastic frame and back panel. The device has a small notch on the top and a chin section on the bottom, and the device has 2.5D tempered glass for safety. The phone has a textured back panel (except for the camera module). The device features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a stereo speaker setup, and a power button with a fingerprint sensor.

Display

Display The Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone sports a fairly large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED display is great in this price segment but the downside is the low refresh rate. This display is great. The fact that the affordable phone comes with Widevine L1 certification and an AMOLED display instead of the usual IPS panel is impressive. This is the perfect display for content streaming.

Camera

The Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone comes with a triple camera setup that includes a 108MP primary camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. So it can be said that it is equivalent to a phone with only one camera. Nothing is better except the primary camera. The phone also has a 16 MP selfie camera with support for HDR mode. The 108MP camera can record up to 2K resolution videos.
The selfie camera on the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone can only shoot up to 1080p videos. The camera app is a bit clunky. Even in normal mode, it shows as an AI camera. It also has a sort of built-in filter that cannot be turned off. Photos taken from the primary camera are mostly good. There seems to be some shutter lag.

Performance

Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimension 810 SoC with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Note 12 Pro 5G is one of the cheapest smartphones with this chipset. This phone has given excellent performance in use by us. The device is even good for gaming as the device scored 581 and 1710 points in Geekbench 5's single-core and multi-core CPU tests.

Software and Connectivity

Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone comes with Android 12 OS-based custom XOS 10.6 skin. This OS comes with more than 15 third-party apps which cannot be removed. Although some of these apps can be disabled, this is a bad experience. In terms of connectivity, this phone also supports a 5G network in the slots. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 and 5Ghz Wi-Fi.

Battery Life

The Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The company also provides a fast charger in the box. You can play games for more than two hours with this battery. It can also give the smartphone more than six hours of screen-on-time. This is a device that should give most people a full day of battery life.

Tips to buy

With a stereo speaker setup, AMOLED display, selfie flash, and a 108MP primary camera, the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is one of the best smartphones the company has ever launched in India. But when compared to devices like Redmi Note 10 Pro, the phone lags in some aspects like design and software experience. Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G is the best smartphone to choose for people who don't care about these things.
